Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: CBT helps patients understand the thoughts and feelings that influence behaviors. CBT is commonly used to address a wide range of issues including phobias, addictions, depression, and anxiety. CBT is generally short-term and focused on helping clients deal with a specific problem. During the course of treatment, clients learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior.

Solution-focused therapy: is sometimes called “brief therapy,” focuses on what clients would like to achieve through therapy. I will help you envision a desirable future, and then map out the small and large changes necessary for you to undergo to realize your vision. I will identify and acknowledge any successes you experience, to encourage you to build on your strengths rather than dwell on your problems or limitations.

Motivational Interviewing: is a method of therapy that works to engage the motivation of clients to change their behavior. Clients are encouraged to explore and confront their ambivalence and obstacles that might get in the way of the desired change. I can assist you in creating and following through with a plan to change specific behaviors in your life. MI can also be used when looking at making changes in your life.

EMDR Therapy: EMDR involves a series of standardized protocols that help clients to reprocess and heal from traumatic events in their lives.
